For the sake of mod completion time I was convinced this might not be the time. I had to be called back of course before it went out way too far. The trade goods could have been divided up even further, but. Say goodbye to grain and hello to wheat, rye, barley, millet, rice, potatoes, and maize! This will also enable more organic events (pest species are really specific towards their host plants for example) in the future. We already tend to use resources from other creators like the sadly outdated trade goods expanded, but of course, this wasn’t enough for me. Our WIP mod, named * Dirinas* (we will workshop it), currently overhauls the provinces of all of Europe, parts of the Middle East, as well as North and West Africa, the latter two being the main focus for our first release to give unique missions, events, flavor, and more, as I felt this region could be so much more vibrant than it currently is in Vanilla.ĭiversity is one of the leading principles of our mod (more of everything to enable better representation) so naturally, I was splitting the already existing trade goods. The scope of this Mod started out rather small as I originally planned to only make map changes, but it has only grown more and more with time, and eventually, we will have more to offer in this mod than I could have thought! I have posted to the forums and other sites on occasion showing some of the work we have done and the progress we have made, but this will be the most in-depth dive into our work so far, in the hopes of garnering support from this community to get this mod released into Beta ASAP!īoth Kretoma and I are both amateur modders, but over the course of our time working on this mod, I have been able to learn so much about the ins and outs of modding, and part of what makes it so fun to do and be a part of for me is watching as your work culminates into something amazing. My name is Gouda_boy, and with the help of my Partner Kretoma, who was onboarded later in this process to help with research, we have been working on a very special project of mine for the past year, slowly, but surely. I'll let introduce themselves and their work! "Amateur" modding should not just be shown off but also encouraged! In the spirit of this, today we showcase some work in progress for a much smaller mod by an amateur with no public works. Personally, I would encourage anyone with even a minor interest in modding to give it a shot, whether it's a tiny change here or there or an ambitious mega project. Greetings Mod lovers far and wide, previously we've covered heavy hitters like Europa Expanded and Ante Bellum, (with more biggies on the way) but we want to give the smaller mods their well-deserved time in the sun too.
